Our Family for Families First actively works to institute a tradition of community service in the installation communities that it serves. Through the Foundation's Adopt-a-Charity program, volunteers have made a huge impact in their local communities in and around Fort Meade, Md.; Fort Bragg, N.C.; Fort Polk, La.; Fort Rucker, Ala.; Fort Riley, Kan.; Fort Sill, Okla.; and Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.

The Adopt-A-Charity program encourages employees, with their family and friends, to perform community service and support fundraising efforts of select charitable organization(s). Since its inception, the Foundation has supported many local charities. Some examples of these efforts include support of horse rehabilitation centers, domestic shelters, Wounded Warrior programs, a humane society, the USO and a children's shelter and more.
